From the user’s perspective, this video source works exactly like the Video source, but uses a Blackmagic Design device via the Blackmagic Desktop Video SDK. For some use cases, it may be interesting to ingest a video with an alpha channel into mimoLive. For example, you can use the brilliant Blackmagic Design Ultimatte to get a near-perfect chroma key for your DSLR or pro studio camera against a green screen background. Since SDI doesn’t support alpha channel video, the Ultimatte sends key and fill on two separate SDI channels. Simulated Camera Source<\/a><\/h4>
When creating screenshots, tutorial videos, or other documentation, it is sometimes helpful to simulate a camera with a pre-recorded video. To create a Simulated Camera Source, drag and drop a video from the Finder into the Sources column while holding the Command + Control keys.
