F\u00f6r att definiera vilka delar av den resulterande bilden som ska vara transparenta anv\u00e4nder filtret en maskbild: svart representerar full transparens, vitt betyder full opacitet och gr\u00e5 nyanser resulterar i varierande niv\u00e5er av transparens.
