The **Static Text Layer** in mimoLive allows you to display text content on-screen, perfect for titles, lower thirds, or any other text-based elements during your live production. This layer offers full customization in terms of text content, appearance, and animation.

### Key Features

- **Custom Text**: You can input any text manually to be displayed in the layer.
- **Animation**: Define how the text appears and disappears using a variety of animation options such as **Dissolve**, **Cut**, or **Push from Top/Bottom/Left/Right**. You can adjust the **duration** and **delay** for incoming and outgoing animations.
- **Appearance**: Adjust the font, size, alignment, kerning, and leading. You can also add an outline or a drop shadow for better visibility.
- **Background**: Apply background effects like a gradient (e.g., **Top to Bottom**) and adjust colors. You can also control the background’s **drop shadow** settings to make the text stand out more.

### User Interface

- **Text Entry**: In the **Content** section, you can manually type or paste your desired text.
- **Animation Settings**: The **Animation** panel lets you select how the text enters and exits the screen, including the ability to adjust the timing for both incoming and outgoing animations.
- **Appearance Settings**: In the **Appearance** section, you can set the text font (e.g., **HelveticaNeue-Bold**), size, kerning, alignment (e.g., **Left**), and apply additional effects such as outlines or drop shadows.
- **Geometry**: The **Geometry** panel allows you to control the positioning of the text and its margins. This includes adjusting the margins and rotation for the text to fit perfectly within your layout.
- **Background Settings**: You can define the background with color and gradient options, along with shadow effects to enhance the text’s visibility.

### Example Uses:

- **Lower Thirds**: Add a static text box at the bottom of the screen with speaker names or descriptions.
- **Title Cards**: Display titles or important information at the beginning or end of a segment.
- **Bullet Points**: Use the static text layer for lists or key points during presentations.
