# Capture iOS Device Screen with Apple TV

You may want to record the screen of an iOS device in mimoLive. If you want to demonstrate with the device’s screen on camera but the computer running mimoLive is out of reach, there is an alternative:

One solution is to stream the iOS device’s screen wirelessly to an [Apple TV](https://www.apple.com/tv/) using [AirPlay Mirroring](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204289) . The Apple TV can then be input to HDMI capture hardware:

- Plug in the HDMI cable of the Apple TV into the HDMI capture hardware (e.g. Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini Recorder) connected to your mimoLive machine.
- Follow the [instructions at Apple](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204289) to mirror your iOS device screen to the Apple TV
- Create a [iOS Device Video Source](https://mimolive.com/user-manual/ios-device-video) in your mimoLive document.
- Make use of this new video source by dragging it to the [Layer Stack](https://mimolive.com/user-manual/layers-and-variants)

Now you should see the content of your iOS screen in mimoLive Program Out.
