Placeholder Source

Table of Contents

When ever you are designing a mimoLive template from scratch or for any other reason don’t have access to the final resources (like movies, images or video hardware) it may be necessary that you put in a placeholder temporarily into a layer. This Placeholder source is a convenient way to quickly generate images in any size.

Choosing the displayed Character

The Placeholder source will generate a letter in front of a coloured background. You can choose the character in the “Key” option of the setup from A through J.

Setting up the Render Size

By default the Placeholder source generates an image that is the same size as the program output dimensions. If you need different pixel dimensions you can switch the Render Size option from “Document Size” to “Custom…” and enter a width and hight in pixels.
