Follow Layer

Table of Contents

The Follow Layer is designed follow faces within a given frame, with a default focus on face detection for the point of interest. This makes it ideal for live streaming, presentations, and any scenario where dynamic cropping and tracking are essential but the video camera can’t be manipulated.

Crop Positions

The Follow Layer offers two primary crop positions:

1. Long Shot: This mode captures the entire frame, providing a wide view of the scene.

2. Close Up: This mode allows you to zoom in on the subject. The zoom factor can be adjusted between 1% and 90%, with 90% being the maximum zoom level.

Centering the Field

To determine the center of the zoom field, you have two options:

1. Face Detection Tracking Mode (Default): This mode uses advanced face detection algorithms to automatically center the field on the detected face, ensuring that the subject remains in focus.

2. Manual Mode: In this mode, you can manually set the center of the zoom field. Simply click on the desired area in the preview window of the layer settings, and the zoom center will adjust accordingly.

Keystroke Assignments

For ease of use, you can assign keystrokes to control the following functions:

Long Shot Position: Quickly switch to the entire frame view.

Close Up Position: Instantly zoom in to the predefined close-up view.

General Layer Control: Manage the layer’s general settings and functions.

Layer Variants: Switch between different layer variants as needed.

Performance and Accuracy

The Follow Layer is optimized for high performance with default settings set to high accuracy. This ensures that the tracking and cropping are precise and reliable, even in dynamic environments.

Smooth Transitions

No matter how you adjust the settings, the Follow Layer guarantees smooth zoom and pan transitions. This ensures a professional and seamless viewing experience for your audience.
