You’re working with smaller teams, sometimes just you, and you have a limited budget for equipment. You face tighter deadlines and last-minute changes, and you’re producing for multiple platforms, formats, and audiences. You’re constantly asked to do just one more thing — with no more time or budget.
mimoLive helps you stay in control, keep up with demands, and create broadcasts that look better than teams ten times your size, all while working with a shoestring budget.
“mimoLive gives us the ability to run 20 simultaneous events with a crew of three.” – Scott Freeman, Director of IT, TVW Olympia
No two productions are the same. Plans change at the last minute — even mid-broadcast. A sponsor submits a video at the last second… but it’s in odd dimensions and a strange frame rate. A producer asks for a unique shot from an iPhone camera — with no time to test it. A keynote speaker misses their flight and insists on joining via Zoom instead.
With mimoLive, these aren’t disasters — they’re just another day you’re ready for.
Tired of hauling racks of hardware and juggling multiple apps just to run a show? mimoLive brings everything you need for professional live video into one streamlined Mac application.
Switcher, graphics generator, DVR playback, ISO recorder, streaming encoder, transcoder, scaler, keyer, multiview, audio and video router and more — it’s all built in and designed to work together. Less gear to carry, fewer points of failure, and one clean, powerful tool that does it all.

Live productions often need to be set up quickly, sometimes by just one or two people. mimoLive makes that possible by putting your entire broadcast workflow on a single Mac, eliminating the complexity of racks of gear and endless cabling.
With mimoLive, you can set up anywhere, on the spot, without the stress. Fewer boxes to handle means fewer crew members, faster turnarounds, and less room for error. Whether it’s a planned show or an ad-hoc production, you can deliver the same professional-quality broadcast without the chaos.
The NDI-in-a-box contains everything needed to run a self contained NDI network. Just plug in your cameras.
mimoLive gives you all the components of a broadcast studio and the freedom to connect them any way you need. With automation, scripting, and custom remote control surfaces, you can simplify complex productions or create fully tailored workflows.
This is exactly how the One Button Studio was built: mimoLive runs everything behind the scenes but remains invisible to the end user. Whether you’re building a branded product or just need a custom “push-to-go-live” setup for your team, mimoLive is the flexible core you can depend on.

mimoLive is a Mac-based live video production software that lets you stream, record, and mix live video with graphics, overlays, automation, and more. It’s used for events, education, streaming, sports, virtual meetings, and more.
You can use mimoLive on every current Mac. How well it works depends on what you want to do with it. How many cameras will you use? How complex are the graphics? How many streams and recordings do you want to send?
Yes! mimoLive lets you stream and record simultaneously — perfect for creating content while going live. In fact, you can play out many things simultaneously like NDI, Audio, Fullscreen and more.
You can use cameras (USB, HDMI, Blackmagic), NDI sources, screen captures, media files, remote guests — and much more. Check out the technical overview for everything that is possible.
Absolutely. mimoLive supports browser-based video sources, NDI from conferencing tools, and a powerful, native integration with Zoom to bring in remote speakers.
mimoLive is built specifically for macOS and takes full advantage of Mac performance and architecture.
Yes. mimoLive supports multiple RTMP outputs so you can broadcast to several destinations simultaneously.
Not necessarily. mimoLive runs on your Mac and works with built-in cameras and microphones and network video and audio sources via NDI. But it also supports external capture devices like Blackmagic Decklink cards and UltraStudio devices and audio mixers connected via USB..
Yes! You can use mimoLive for free with a watermark for as much as you like, so you can explore and learn before buying.
mimoLive licensing works the same way as Apple’s Mac App Store policies. You can install and use your license on all the Macs you own, as long as only you are using them. If other people use a Mac for production, that Mac needs its own separate license.
mimoLive is designed to remove the need for post-production. You can create your content live (“live to tape”) and publish it immediately without editing. If you do want to edit later, the files mimoLive creates work seamlessly with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve.
mimoLive offers a comprehensive user manual, video tutorials, the mimoLive Experts community on Discord, and direct support via email.

Back in 2007, Boinx Software was contracted to create station graphics for a German business news channel—stock charts, lower thirds, and more. This project opened the door to the world of broadcasting. What we discovered was a system stuck in the punch card era: one device per task, all hard-wired together using a single signal standard. Every video and graphic had to conform to that standard. Upgrading to a new one? It meant replacing every piece of hardware—at enormous cost. The complexity required a small army to operate, and eventually, the financial burden sank the channel.
As kids, we dreamed of running a TV station from our living room—Wayne’s World style. But with that legacy broadcast model, it was clear that dream would stay a dream. There had to be a better way.
Our “aha” moment came from a popular TV show where the host triggered short clips—what we now call memes—and audiovisual effects from buttons at his desk, all without the control room. That was it. Why couldn’t every production work like that? Hit a key, make something happen.
So our crack team of German engineers got to work. The result: a product that has empowered individuals, organizations, and companies around the world to run broadcast-quality live productions easily from a Mac—since 2008.
