mimoLive 2.3

What is new in this version?

Version 2.3 – July, 2016

  • New: Virtual Playout! Use mimoLive in Skype or Google Hangout as a camera and audio source! Please read this FAQ how to enable the Virtual Playout.
  • New: Import FMLE configuration files provided by streaming service providers to make streaming setup even easier.
  • New: Streaming and recordig button are blinking if there is a problem with the output
  • New: Twitter layer now displays associated images. Also gave it a face lift and made the “broadcast layout” suggested by Twitter the default.
  • New: Added a Subtitle layer that is able to playback .srt or .sbv formatted subtitle files. (Default content is “Pledge of Allegiance” for school morning announcements)
  • New: The settings popovers for recording, streaming, playout and full screen playout can be detached and placed persistently anywhere. This is not just very handy for monitoring the streaming status!
  • New: Added the option to mirror the fullscreen output. This is very helpful if you use the fullscreen playout for a confidence monitor. Actors in front of a green screen can now move more intuitively.
  • Fixed: Streaming to destinations powered by Akamai now works more reliably.
  • Fixed: Additional parameters in the streaming URL aren’t stripped anymore.
  • Fixed: Bug when the Audio Only layer would not switch off itself if the fade duration was to short.
  • Fixed: Lot of bugs that causes mimoLive to crash or hang.
Minimum macOS
macOS 10.10.0
Requirements
mimoLive requires an Intel–based Mac with a discrete graphics card/chip from ATI or NVIDIA and a minimum of 8 GB of RAM. mimoLive runs on all current notebook and desktop Macs (including the MacBook with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M) with the exception of the Macs with integrated Intel GMA graphics (the earliest Mac mini, and the white or black MacBook models). If you want to use the streaming feature please make sure your machine has hardware accelerated video encoding, otherwise it’s affecting CPU performance. On the software side, mimoLive requires Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10 or higher). In addition, the Apple Intermediate Codec or Apple ProRes Codec is strongly recommended.
