What is new in this version?

Version 2.0b24 – April, 2016

  • More work on UI: Cleaned up source repository and document window header, adjusted some UI elements
  • New: Screen capture reacts on changes on screen hardware
  • New: Added a face tracking video filter (e.g. for Skype calls to track persons heads)
  • Fixed: Window capture finds its window after reloading a document
  • Fixed: Bug when the source repository reacted on key stroke but shouldn’t
  • Fixed: iOS device sources will be restored correctly after reloading a document
  • Fixed: Streaming was always at 720p by default, now it adjust correctly to the document size
  • Fixed: Bug when Lower third and Presenter 2D causes the playout to stutter after being live for a long time
  • Fixed: Some typos in the layer parameters
  • Fixed: Three Up-Layer: correct tally light updates
  • Fixed: Some parameter labels where missing in the parameter view

  • Built in live streaming to any RTMP-based streaming service (including Wowza, YouTube, Twitch.tv and more)

  • Direct manipulation in layers, to directly adjust all visual elements
  • Frosted glass effects in many layers
  • Modern 64-Bit architecture, so mimoLive can now use all the RAM available
  • All new user interface

Known Issues

  • You need the Blackmagic Desktop Video Driver 10.4.1 or newer for Blackmagic devices to work. These can be downloaded here.
  • There is still some more unpolished UI. You have been warned.
Minimum macOS

Requirements
mimoLive requires an Intel–based Mac with discrete graphics from ATI or NVIDIA and a minimum of 8 GB of RAM. mimoLive runs on all current notebook and desktop Macs (including the MacBook with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M) with the exception of the Macs with integrated Intel GMA graphics (the earliest Mac mini, and the white or black MacBook models). On the software side, mimoLive requires Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10 or higher). In addition, the Apple Intermediate Codec or Apple ProRes Codec is strongly recommended.
