We’re thrilled to announce the release of mimoLive 6.8.3, bringing you new audio and video enhancements, expanded capabilities with Zoom sources, and a range of important fixes. This update focuses on making live production even smoother and more flexible, particularly for those utilizing macOS Ventura, Zoom integrations, and multi-screen setups. Here’s a look at what’s new!
New Features & Improvements
Expanded Audio Capture Options
- System Audio Capture: With macOS 13 Ventura, mimoLive now allows you to capture the MacOS system audio directly through the Screen Capture source. This is perfect for streaming or recording any system sounds along with your screen content.
- Application-Specific Audio Capture: Need to isolate audio from a single app? Now, the Window Capture source can capture the host application’s audio, streamlining your workflow by capturing only the audio you need.
Enhanced Zoom Meeting Capabilities
- Zoom Audio Capture: Audio from screen shares in Zoom can now be captured as part of your mimoLive production. Whether it’s a presentation or a shared video, bring that audio seamlessly into your broadcast.
- Improved Participant Details: The Participants menu in the Zoom Meeting source provides more information on participant status, including camera status and sign language interpretation availability, making your remote collaborations more insightful and accessible.
NDI Output Flexibility
- YUV Video Frames Option: For users utilizing the NDI output destination, there’s now an option to send YUV video frames instead of RGB, allowing for optimized color performance in specific workflows.
Additional UI & Workflow Enhancements
- “Previous” Button in Slide Show Layer: Easily navigate back to previous slides with the new “Previous” button, making it more efficient to manage presentations.
- Structured Sources Browser: A newly categorized Sources Browser makes finding the right source quicker and easier, giving the UI a more intuitive layout.
- Blank Template Update: Our Blank template has been refined to provide helpful tips instead of default elements, so new users can jump into mimoLive faster.
- Zoom SDK Update: With the latest Zoom SDK (version 6.2.3), you can expect improved stability and performance when working with Zoom sources.
Fixes and Optimizations
This release also addresses several issues that improve reliability and performance:
- Fixed issues with Zoom sources, including a bug with the “Join Zoom Meeting” button and occasional crashes.
- The Streaming Output Destination now functions more consistently, especially with custom RTMP settings.
- The Virtual Camera Output no longer displays a frozen image in third-party applications when the main menu bar is accessed.
- Full Screen Output Destination restores correctly on the intended screen when multiple screens are connected.
- Bug fix for Cube animation transitions in the Placer with Transition layer.
